In November 2010, USCIS transferred approximately 36,000 Immediate
Relative petitions from�our California Service Center to our Texas
Service Center. We anticipated that this redistribution�of work would
result in more timely adjudication of these petitions. Due to a number
of�unforeseen circumstances at our Texas Service Center, many of these
cases have not been�processed and are beyond our estimated processing
times. We sincerely regret any inconvenience�this may have caused you
and we are making every effort to remedy this situation as soon as
possible.
On Feb. 7, 2011, we implemented a rapid response plan to expedite the
adjudication of these�petitions. We have transferred a large number of
these Immediate Relative petitions back to our�California Service
Center to take advantage of resources currently available to
immediately�process these cases. Petitioners will see an action such
as an approval, denial or a Request for�Evidence (RFE) on their case
from our California or Texas Service Centers by the end of�February.
Additionally, we have briefed the Department of State’s National Visa
Center about�these cases.
We encourage you to monitor the progress of your case by accessing My
Case Status online. If�you do not see any action on your case, such as
an approval, denial or an RFE, by March 1, 2011�you may contact USCIS

Folks,
My Green Card was recently approved. But, due to retrogression I had not filed for my wife's green card.We did file her I-485/EAD/AP during the month of July. My PD is around 2003, and I dont see my wife's GC being approved very soon.
My questions are:
1. What kind of documents are required in the future? Lets say, I start a company and work for my own company. In that scenario, what are the requirements I need to fulfill to keep her application in good standing.
2. What happens if I go without a job for a few months(between consulting gigs). Does this adversely impact her application.
3. At the minimum, how do I keep her application in good standing, and be ready to respond to future RFE's.
I am not sure if these questions were discussed in this forum. I would appreciate if anyone can point me to any links.

This info might be a little old. But I filed for PERM on Dec 1, 2010 and it got approved on Dec 19th, 2010. So, 18 days. Also, you can find the latest info for PERM approval processing time on www..com

I am not sure what you mean by 3D designers think they have specialty skills?!
First off you don't have to be a designer to model objects that already exist in real life. You just need to know how to use a 3D Modelling program.
And second - yes - it is a skill to be able to use those programs and even more so if you are actually creating an original design.
And dont go to the "viewpoint" D'espano" or other sites for models they are extremely expensive as you say.
As a side note - depending on a model needed by someone you can ask what you need and alot of times people will create it for you for nothing ;) or have it in stock!

I have a big problem that I got approved on the H1 Recapture to get back into US on January 15, 09 though my attorney screwed up by putting someone else background into the Petition Letter submitted to USCIS with my application. The petition letter to USCIS is all wrong. It states the wrong education, work experience and job duty. They put somebody else background into mine. They put the correct sponsoring company on the first page of the letter though at the end of the second page they put the wrong sponsoring company. In this case, what should I do and what should I answer at the US Consular in Malaysia to get my H1 Visa? What should I do now? Please advise. Do I have to resubmit the application back to USCIS? Will I get rejected? Please help. Thank you very much.

1. Can a new employer apply for H1B extension based on my I-140 approval even though I am not in USA.? My I-140 has not been revoked or cancelled.
Yes, this should be possible assuming your priority date is still backlogged. If not, you can at least get the unused part of your 6 years.
2.Can I claim the remaining time on my H1B approval(based on I-140) with company XYZ ? I have copy of the H1B approval but not sure if it has been revoked.

it's more Marketing rubbish..
certainly it'll be a better 6MP image than before, but it won't have the pure resolution of a 1Ds or 14N.
Dynamic Range will be nice, but doesn't tip it over the edge. Why don't they go bigger in MP? One might ask.... I think they're finding it tough.. Somehow Canon has nailed it. Kodak couldn't.
Interesting times ahead!!

At present I am on H4 but my H4 expired in December2006. But I have I-94 valid till 2009. My husband also got extension till April2009. Now I want to apply for H1 in April2007. I want to know whether this will affect my H1 approval? Do I need to have stamped H4 which is valid till 2009 before filing fresh H1?
I need this as soon as possible.

Quick survey to findout how many people like the idea of having their passports restamped here in USA and avoid all the surprises and shocks. This doesn't need any legal fixes. It is a convenient measure for everyone. Besides it was an old practice that was stopped for "security" reasons or some crapp. It is a small step but helps with any cases like family emergency or some urgent business need to travel abroad.
Based on the poll results and suggestions, we can comeup with a strategy to address the issue.

In order to do this, she will have to leave the country and apply for a H-1b consular processing. Get a new visa and come back into the county on H-1. She cannot file for a change of status to H-1 from AOS.

With full due respect to the extremely hard IIT JEE and the brilliance of the students that make it to the IIT , the reason that only 3500 make it from over 150,000 is because of India's staggering population and staggering student numbers . The US has less than a third of US's population and hence Harvard accepts 10% . It is simple math.
I feel that just because a person could not crack a question in IIT JEE and gets rejected makes him any less smarter than the ones who make it given the small number of seats that used to be sometime back .
It is good that ye government has now opened a lot more IIT's and IIM's so that more people can get the privilege of going into these elite institutionalism , the ones who missed the Institution because they could not crack one question in the JEE .
