We need to do something differnt.
We have already done enough like Writting to senators , Congressmen, Raising SR etc.
Any heads up / suggestions?

I heard from some source that non citizens cannot donate blood... if this is not true then count me in ....
Citizenship is a non-issue. If I correctly, the only bar on blood donations arise from recent overseas travel (2 years or 4 years?) to one of the 'high-risk' malaria areas in the world.

My current EAD was issued in 2007 when I filed I-485 + I-140 concurrently. It has since expired. I did not apply for a renewal because I am still on my H1B.
I am applying for a renewal now and had a question regarding filling out form I-765
Q15. Current Immigration Status ( Vistor, Student, etc )
I am still on my H1B. So I think I should write H1B and not AOS. But I am not sure.
I filled (C)(9) for Q16 Eligibility Criteria, and since I live in Ohio I am sending it to USCIS Phoenix Lockbox Facility. My receipt notice is Aug 2007 and to be sure I am including the $380 fee.
Appreciate your help!

Has anyone stamped from Peru or some South American country?
Can you let me know if any issues.
The embassy has a number that gives access to a service where I can schedule an appointment .. but does not allow me to speak to anyone.

USCIS is all about balancing work...they are being forced to accept butt-load of AOS application, and they shift the balance this way....
Also they will take months or even years to send back receipts EADs etc...wait n watch....we made them swallow the tought pill, and they will make the same pill stuck in our throat for eternity now.....

We had a 8 hr long meeting with a lobbying firm right on the Capitol hill. The meeting progressed very well. We came out with a wealth of information. This firm seems to have the right contacts and connections. I am creating a pointwise document the people in this firm promised and were confident to achieve. Just to let you know we have Labor Backlog centers and Retrogression on our agenda.

This law only applies to H1-B filing fees paid to USCIS. Your employer is still legally allowed to collect any attorney fees for filing your petition from you.

Today, I received an email from USCIS that my EAD application got approved. My receipt date is on the 3rd week of May of 2007. What I don't understand is that the current processing time at NSC for I-765(EAD) for pending I-485 is March 26th, 2007.....
We have the exact same situation down to the receipt date :eek: I was so shocked I almost fell off my chair when I got my email. A completely unexpected surprise but a good surprise, nevertheless.

One is Employer Job title which is "Analyst Programmer" other one is prevailing wages occupational title which is "Computer Systems Analyst". My question is what should be my Title at new employer?

There is no need to withdraw your 485. But why do you need 2 485's. It just shuts out visas for others. You can continue on H1b with your current employer and join in EAD with the other.

We will need to Travel to Canada for Immigrant Landing formalities after we get PR.
How can we enter back in US so that my AOS and her H1B Status is not affected?

My confusion is, as soon as I enter on AP I am on EAD and I don't have approved EAD. Does this mean I can not work untill I get EAD approved? I don't have Visa Stamped and I am not planning for Visa Stamping.

I lost my job about a month ago with fortune company where I had my H1 and then I filed to transfer my H1 to the GC filing company. It got approved last week. They even seem to have sent the I 94 with the H1 approval.
I have a visa from the earlier company(fortune company) till dec 2009 in my passport. Do I now need to get a fresh visa again with the new (GC) company that has sponsored my H1. Or is the visa validity in my passport is good enough to work even for the new employer?
