Hi All,
Currently iam working for a X company and i do have 2 layers(A,B) to my end client Y. My company got agreement with company A and A got agreement with B. Now, my client (Y)wants me on full time.I have signed non-compete with my employer that i will not join his clients.But Y is no way a client to my employer. Will there be any issue if i join with Y?
Any replies is highly appreciated.

Refer processing times at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=NSC and search for "All other applicants for advance parole". Right now they are processing July 03, 2007 cases.

As Silverlight is a browser side technology, you would have no problem serving Silverlight content from our servers as long as you add the proper MIME type settings to the site via .htaccess rules such as:
AddType application/xaml+xml .xaml
AddType application/x-silverlight-app .xap
AddType application/x-ms-xbap .xbap
HTTP responses have a "content-type" as apart of their header.

It is advised to set the content type appropriately when you serve a file from your webserver by modiftying your htaccess file. Since I got electronic refund to my tax rebate and have SSN for all family members, I was expecting Tax refund (stimulus) to be deposited in my bank accoung this week. This was big announcement in the last week.
But I dont see any rebate deposited in my account?
Does any of you have received such rebates?
Is there any contacts numbers where we can approach if we did not received Stimulus rebate al though we filed electronically?

I did received the money on May 2 nd. The date when you receive your money depends on teh last two didigit of your SSN number. PLease check IRS.Gov there is a link to check your sttaus.

Convert to H4 if spouse is on H1B. Chances of getting F2 approval are also high if spouse is on F1 and has not applied for I-140 (even if F2 is approved you should not go out of the country for stamping as the embassy will not issue visa due to intent to immigrate). Greencard processing can continue in the meantime as it is process for future job offering.

Does anybody have idea or experience how long it takes for USCIS to make desicion about I-485 expedition (pending for 2.8 years now)?
My hospital sent expedition request to TSC about 3 months ago, there is no replay yet.
I'll appreciate any advice/information.

The Conrad 30 J1 waiver program has been extended to September 09.
I believe IV core has been actively pursuing the Conrad 30 Improvement act. Can core please update us regarding the chances of this legislation passing in September 09 ?

not a lawyer so take this with grain of salt.
she need to request her passport back and can travel back on AP if it is urgent.
VO has given back all the documents back to her including passport, when my wife said she has travel plans to go back early.
My concern is when the administrative processing is completed, then how do we get the passport stamped or is there a way to withdraw the visa application.

I have got my I 485 rejectd when i filed during AUG 2007 due to Improper fees but we paid the correct fees.We refiled with saying "Improper Denials of I-485 " and double packed saying byboss mail room. We tryied more than 5 times always we got back saying PD is not current. Please advice me how to proceed on this.

i am in same situation. i applied for employment base in Dec 2004 and family based in May 2006 through my sister. Rightnow i'm on EAD and my sister based F4 category have priority Dec 2001.
You can apply in both category. when i was filing 485 (EB3), there is question if any other 485 petition is pending? The answer is "NO" even i have applied (I-130) under Family based GC. My lawyer said filing I-130 (for family based GC) is not consider as another petition (485) for GC. So it is ok to apply in both.

I'm getting a visa stamping date in Kolkata embassy but I'm from New Delhi. I dont want to take a chance and wait till the dates in New Delhi embassy are available. Can I schedule interview in Kolkata and later when dates become available in New Delhi change it ? I mean can I change the venue of my appointment ?

Last year in June i booked my appointment with New Delhi Embassy for stamping in Sept end when i was to be in India. i think appointments were a major issue at that point of time. Returning workers can apply for visa stamp at any consulate/embassy .

I did my 7 th year visa transfer this year and again it took more than 2 months then nothing happened later I went for premium processing because my wife's H4 stamping date was coming closure. I guess usually it takes 2-3 months for transfering visa. Mine was Nebraska Service center. Again this year I am going for 8th year extension. Good luck for your visa transfer. Just relax and wait for USCIS reply on ur application.

You need to be in valid H1B status to get H1B extension. If you have abandoned it or it has expired, then you are subject to H1B quota. But I don't have any document/memo to support it. Wait for more senior people's response.

1. I saw my 3 years extension of h1b has been approved. I am now thinking of going for stamping. Earlier i had been to canada for stamping as at that time getting appointment at indian consualte was difficult. How soon can i get at chennai consualte?? I heard for NRI's they give diferent priority ..is it true..???
Whats the website to schedule the appointment at indian consulate..???Is it dizyy to get stamping in chenna..???I have a US MS degree in CS.
2. My online status says H1B is approved and aproval notice sent. I shoudl also get an new I94 right..???there were few conserns for my attorney when we filed application..so want to make sure everything is proper before i start thinking of next step..(stamping and all).
I would really apprecite if you get share your views on my concern.

I have valid H1B from June 2007- June 2010. I have reentered the united states twice ( Aug 2008 from India, July 2009 from U.K) on advance parole with out my H1B being stamped. Now my attorney thinks I am under parolee status and my H1B cannot be renewed. However, I am under the impression that my H1B extension can be filed as I am working for the same company and when I reenter the states, I could have my H1B stamped and I will have dual status with out losing EAD, AP and pending 485 application? Can you please indicate if there is any USCIS memo which indiactes H1B can be extended with out losing parole status/ pending 485 application?
